Eufora Design Team Director, Dee Fortier, kicked off her successful career in the professional salon industry in 1980, and has built quite an impressive portfolio over the years. Currently, Dee is a full time stylist behind the chair and owns Deeva Salon in Kitchener, Ontario.

Her natural creative eye and passion for the unique and different has earned her accolades in a variety of notable areas in the industry, including; editorial photo and video shoots, runway shows, nominations and awards in national and international competitions (ABA, IBS, NAHA, Contessa and Mirror Awards) and New York Fashion Week. Dee really has done it all in the salon industry.

Dee has been with Eufora since 1996 and has traveled around the world to share her passion for Eufora Systems and advanced education. Dee’s love for teaching and sharing with others is almost palpable when she enters her classes and seminars. Her students always leave inspired to step out of their comfort zone and into the world where their creativity and imagination flourish.

MIRZA BATANOVIC

Eufora Style Director

Mirza started his journey in the professional salon industry in 2003, and joined the Eufora Education team in 2008. He quickly became one of the most sought after educators in the Eufora network due to his forward thinking, passion for the unique and different, and his natural creative eye.

He was named one of the 7 best up and coming hairstylists in the United States by Estetica Magazine in 2014, and for a good reason. With a true love for fashion, Mirza’s talents have been showcased in editorial photoshoots and at New York Fashion Week. His passion for this industry runs deep and he’s constantly drawing inspiration from his wonder of the world around him.

Mirza’s love of sharing his knowledge and inspiration is evident in his classes. His talent and skills range from core technical to creative and avant-garde in cutting, long hairdressing, and color techniques. Mirza currently divides his time between working in New York City, Southern California, and on the road as a top Eufora National Trainer, platform artist, and Academy instructor.

JOANNE REMPLE

EuforaColor Development Manager

Joanne received her cosmetology license in 1979 with a dream to contribute to the professional salon industry in a big way. She opened her first salon in 1983 and knew she had found a passion in leadership, mentoring and helping her stylists grow to become the best versions of themselves. This passion led her to Eufora in 2007, where she became an educator and has since been appointed as the Creative Director for EuforaColor. Joanne worked alongside Eufora Co-Founder, Don Bewley, to help test and develop EuforaColor.

Joanne has trained hundreds of stylists and Eufora Educators through EuforaColor Training Camps, in-salon classes and Advanced Trainings. Her list of awards runs long, one of which was the Eufora Spirit Award in 2011. This award is incredibly fitting as Joanne’s passion and dedication for the Eufora systems and her students is almost palpable when she teaches a class or seminar. She believes that excellence is a journey, not a destination.

ALISSA ALVAREZ

Advanced Academy Instructor

From sculpting a precision cut for her clients to creating an avant-garde updo for the runway, Alissa’s passion is simply creating beauty. Alissa met Don Bewley shortly after joining her first Eufora salon in 2001 who introduced her to the power of Eufora’s education.

After completing three legendary Vidal Sassoon courses and Foundations at Eufora’s YOU School Academy, her talent was quickly recognized and she was invited to become a Eufora YOU School instructor within her first year. Alissa then became Bella Fora Spa’s Artistic Director in 2004 and was appointed to Eufora National Trainer in 2011.

Alissa takes her inspiration from applying the natural beauty of the world’s architecture and color palates into hair design. With work featured in Modern Luxury Brides and San Diego Magazine, Alissa attributes her success to her mentors and support systems who encourage and inspire her to continually better her craft. Alissa believes in mentoring hairstylists and sharing her knowledge with others to improve their skills and better their business by triggering enlightening “Aha” moments for her students.

BJ NORMAN

Advanced Academy Instructor

As a professional in the cosmetology industry for over 18 years, BJ has been dedicated to creating and maintaining techniques required to perform high quality services in the art of hair design. He has accumulated and mastered skills through advanced training courses offered by world renowned educators. BJ has achieved high honor certificates and awards for his outstanding abilities in the art of haircutting and advanced hair coloring since 1988. He has also worked with celebrities through the National Academy of Arts and Sciences in San Diego (the Emmy’s), and Body by Jake and Fit T.V. as a stylist for commercials in 1996, and numerous professional photo shoot sessions. As a result of his knowledge, confidence and creativity, he has been selected and published in several of the industry’s top hair styling magazines in the United States and abroad. He aspires to maintain an openness to visions of new techniques, trends in color and style, for the achievement and maintenance of salon professionalism by consistently growing, through the advancement of continuing education.

CONNIE KECSKES

Advanced Academy Instructor

Connie has been a stylist since 1990 and realized the value of advanced education early on. She attended Vidal Sassoon courses, and other notable advanced training programs. Connie has been a National Trainer for Eufora and an instructor for Eufora’s YOU School Advanced Training Academy since 2001. Connie’s dedication to sharing knowledge landed her the position of Technical Director at Headlines the Salon, where she has been a stylist for most of her professional career.

Connie’s love for people and her ability to “instantly make a difference” make her a star both at the salon, and in the classroom.  Her easy going instruction and infectious laughter make her classes a favorite amongst students. Connie’s students leave her classes feeling as though they can take this career anywhere they want. She’s a true artist and inspiration to all stylists in this industry.

DANA CASCHETTA

Advanced Academy Instructor

Dana has been in the salon industry since 2004, and part of the Eufora Education Team since 2007. She is dedicated to sharing her knowledge and passion with like-minded stylists and barbers and travels around North America doing just that. Dana is cross trained in technical haircutting, long hairdressing, color and men’s barbering. Her classic barbering skills and passion for men’s trend cutting quickly earned her a spot on the Eufora HERO for Men team in 2012.

Dana has been featured in Estetica Magazine, Modern Salon Magazine and has worked backstage at New York Fashion Week. Dana was recently named top 30 under 30 by Colorist magazine. As a Eufora National Trainer, Dana’s eye for both women’s and men’s styles gives her the ability to encourage stylists in all aspects of their success.

DANA HOWARD

Eufora National Trainer

After graduating cosmetology school in 1996, Dana spent many years honing his skills. He met Eufora Co-Founder, Don Bewley, in 1998 and then again in 2009. He recognized that Don hadn’t changed his approach or philosophies and he knew he could trust him and Eufora. Dana became an educator for Eufora in 2010.

Dana is inspired by the “Aha” moments his students experience, especially seasoned hairdressers that show humility by letting their guards down to learn something new. His passion and expertise live in the world of men’s hair.

Dana’s hands on approach, technical proficiency and his eye for the up and coming trends makes him an incredible educator. Dana is driven by knowing that he’s giving his all to help stylists make a living doing what they love.

JEANNIE JACHMAN

Eufora National Trainer

Jeannie entered the beauty industry in 1999 intending to focus on film and theater. She quickly learned in her time behind the chair that her life’s purpose was to make the world a more beautiful place, one head at a time. Jeannie’s desire to align herself with a company that offered integrity, personal and professional growth is what drew her to Eufora. She became an Educator in 2006 and a National Trainer in 2017. Jeannie’s passion lies in image crafting, the perfect marriage between cut and color, as well as creating beautiful long hairdressing styles. Her creativity and talent earned her the 2016 Eufora Stylist of the Year Award for Avant Garde. Jeannie hopes her students leave her class with applicable new skills and the inspiration and enthusiasm to excite their guests.

JULIE CROSS

Advanced Academy Instructor

During her senior year in college, Julie worked as a receptionist in a salon in Virginia, only planning to stay through the end of school.  However, being in the salon opened Julie’s eyes to her true passion, the professional salon industry. “I saw a commitment to customer service, a passion for continuous education, the happiness and elevated self-esteem that one person could give another just by changing how one sees oneself”, says Julie.

Julie became a Eufora Educator in 2008 and after continuing her own education through Eufora’s YOU School Academy courses and Advanced Educator Training, she worked her way up to assisting at Revolution Tours and Global Connection.  Julie was appointed to the Eufora HERO for Men’s Team in 2011. She loves the technical aspect of what stylists do and has a passion to share her core technical skills as well as her eye for trend. A master barber, experienced colorist, technical women’s stylist… Julie can really do and teach it all.

JEFFREY MAYO

Jeffrey started his journey in the professional salon industry in 1998, training in some of the most prestigious salons in Boston and throughout the New England area. His infectious smile, positive demeanor, and down to Earth approach to educating makes him the perfect fit for the Eufora Education Team, which he joined in 2005.

Jeffrey encourages his students to be themselves and to find their own creative voice. During his time with Eufora, Jeffrey has become one of the most dynamic and versatile educators with expertise in a variety of areas, including: leading the Eufora Razor Team, platform work, color education, ethnic hair cutting and styling and technical cutting. Jeffrey’s true passion is to give back to the profession that he loves and students will leave his classes feeling empowered with knowledge, inspiration and a stronger sense of self. LETTY PORTILLA

Eufora Business Trainer

Letty began her journey as a Salon Professional in 1993 and has been dedicated to technical and business education since becoming a licensed cosmetologist in 2001. Letty has a comprehensive and well-rounded business education having completed programs through the Professional Beauty Association, Inspiring Champions, Redken, Rusk, and continues to take courses through the Eufora Advanced Training Academy. Letty has a strong passion for H.O.P.E (Helping Other People Evolve) and believes business owners have a responsibility to grow their teams by being a strong, honest role model. Letty was appointed to Eufora National Trainer in 2008 and her passion, values, and expertise are reflected in every class she teaches.

LISA WARREN

Advanced Academy Instructor

Lisa began her career in the fall of 2006. While in beauty school she knew that she wanted to be an educator and a platform artist for a product company. The criteria were simple. The company had to walk with integrity, be environmentally friendly, and It had to align with Lisa’s values – but most of all it had to be fun! Lisa found her home with Eufora and joined the education team in September of 2009. “The thing that jazzes me most is the ability to share this amazing company with my clients each and every day. In addition, I get to help develop other stylists through ongoing education and workshops.” Lisa’s creativity and artful eye has won her many accolades and awards, such as the Eufora Stylist of the Year Award. Her work has been published online and in many industry publications. “I have overcome fear, and continue to embrace myself as a leader. I believe that “everything speaks” and as a leader with Eufora, I embrace my insecurities, celebrate my wins, acknowledge others, and embody servant leadership-all while remaining humble and practicing gratitude.”

PETER BROKT

Advanced Academy Instructor

After settling in Maryland upon his move from Germany at the age of 23, Peter Brokt worked through all levels at his first salon and became known for his artistic color compositions and color application techniques. Even early in his career, Peter was recognized as a talented hair designer, customizing cuts to enhance his clients’ natural features and their lifestyles. In 2003, Peter became an American Board Certified Colorist and joined the Kadus Artistic team as a nationally recognized stylist, colorist, and teacher.

Don Bewley recognized Peter’s talent, passion, and national reputation in the industry as a master colorist and invited Peter to train for Eufora throughout the USA and Canada. Peter is known in the industry for his decisive compositions in hair color on stage as well as his ability to lead a crowded model-room backstage and was appointed to Eufora National Trainer in 2014.

MARGARET MORSE

Margaret began her journey in the professional salon industry in 2002. Her natural leadership qualities began to flourish and she was drawn to Don and Beth Bewley. Margaret knew this dynamic duo would provide the mentorship she needed to advance her career and achieve her dream of opening her own salon.

She became an Educator for Eufora in 2005, and went on to open Lulu Posh Hair in 2011.  She quickly realized that her true passion stemmed from a desire to help other stylists and salon owners enhance the beauty and confidence of clients while growing a successful business. Margaret loves creating positive change for people and believes that change is good for the soul. She travels around North America teaching her students the Eufora systems. She wants her students to leave her class better than they were the day before by giving them the tools they need to succeed and achieve their dreams.

MICHAEL FIGIEL

Michael Figiel Has been a salon professional since 1994. His creative eye and passion for the hair industry has made him both a sought-after stylist and educator. Training on the East and West coasts, he shares his talent and skills as a Eufora National trainer, proficient in women’s cutting, men’s cutting / barbering, and hair coloring.

Michael is a salon and barber shop owner, NCA competition winner, and has experience in both print and commercial work. Michael’s belief in learning and sharing knowledge are parallel to Eufora beliefs and integrity.

MICKY HATOUM

Advanced Academy Instructor

Within minutes of meeting Micky Hatoum, stylists are immediately to his professionalism and quiet confidence that radiates from this modest educator.  Micky’s career began in 1991 and over the years, he’s achieved quite an impressive list of accomplishments. Early on, he earned the title of Canadian Artistic Director for a major manufacturer, and his salon Altimo Hair Group has been awarded many ABA Trophies in multiple categories. Micky’s award-winning salon in Edmonton, Alberta is internationally recognized for outstanding creation and design.

Eufora proudly appointed Micky as a National Trainer in 2005, where he continues to encourage students to experience the art of hair design.  He is extraordinarily versatile, continually displaying his vast array of skills.  Micky offers leadership, direction, and a wealth of experience to his audiences.  Traveling throughout North America teaching at various seminars, workshops and classes, Micky enjoys sharing his knowledge with other leaders in the industry.  He follows his passion and lives by his motto, “to listen, consult and create”.

SHEREEN DOUCETTE

Shereen Doucette’s professional journey in the salon industry began in 2005 and her natural talent and potential quickly caught the eye of Eufora Co-Founder, Don Bewley, and Eufora Artistic Director, Dee Fortier. After completing her apprenticeship under Dee Fortier, Shereen became an Educator for Eufora in 2006 and her list of accomplishments runs long. Shereen’s passion and dedication for competing amongst the world’s best hairdressers has earned her awards and recognition in quite a few notable, worldwide competitions.

Her areas of expertise include; platform and stage work, master finishing, on-trend haircutting, and teaching avant-garde conceptualization and execution.  Shereen’s creativity, imagination and forward thinking help her to continue to raise the bar in and out of the salon. Her mantra, “The teacher always learns the most” is what makes Shereen a true artist.

STEVE DeCARO

Eufora National Trainer

Steve has been in the professional salon industry since 1976 and has been inspired by the likes of Paul Mitchell, Vidal Sassoon, John Sahag and most recently Don Bewley.  He started cutting friends’ hair at seventeen and went on to attend Barber College in Los Angeles.  Directly out of school he went to work behind the chair, and within two years he had his own salon.

After six years he sold to a partner, but continued in the business and became an educator with Eufora in 2002. Following in the steps of those that have inspired him, Steve is now giving back to stylists and salon owners by traveling around North America to share his wisdom. A Master Barber, and highly skilled stylist, he has inspired thousands of stylists across North America with his passionate teaching style.  Steve’s involvement with Eufora International was a personal choice as he wanted to be with a company that did not just have great products, but quality people as well.

TAMRA SEGERT

Eufora Business Trainer

Tamra started her career in 1978, choosing to attend Barber school and concentrating on men’s cutting and grooming. She realized there was an industry shift in women’s hair to precision wearable cuts and not weekly roller set and blow dry appointments. Tamra’s dedicated herself to all disciplines of hair including master cutting, styling and hair color. Along her journey, Tamra gained a passion for advanced education and became an Educator for Eufora in 2007. She holds positions on the EuforaColor Team, Men’s Barbering Team, and also the educator training staff helping new educators become successful. As a successful salon owner, Tamra also holds a top spot on Eufora’s Business Training Team and travels North America sharing her wisdom and knowledge through the Eufora Systems. An accomplished and renowned business woman, Tamra’s salon has been chosen Salon Today Magazine’s Top 200 for 3 years in multiple categories.

TIFFANY SAGASER

Eufora National Trainer

Having been in the industry since 2007, Tiffany Sagaser began her career in Orlando, Florida where she found the love and passion for hairdressing. Always in the pursuit of excellence, education has been her driving force. Continuously attending education, she developed a passion for teaching and joined the Eufora Education Team in 2009, teaching classes across the US as well as the UK. Tiffany now shares her skill and talent as Eufora National Trainer, conducting classes in men’s and women’s cutting as well as long hairdressing.

“I love what I do, I am passionate about education. I’ve dedicated my career to becoming the most well-rounded hairdresser I can be, and that pursuit will never end.” Having the vision for her own salon, Tiffany followed her dreams and opened her first salon in Carlsbad, California, Salon Studio Ciseaux, in June of 2014. With rapid growth and much success, she was able to expand and rebrand with her new salon, Bleach and Brawn. Tiffany hopes her students leave her classes with energy, passion, and knowledge to fulfill their dreams.
