Working together to help victims of child abuse

The charity has been near and dear to the Bewley family's hearts for over a decade. Since 2009, the generous and thoughtful Eufora Nation has come together to raise over $1,000,000 for Childhelp®. While the money is very important in helping to eradicate child abuse, creating awareness of this horrific problem is just as important.

Founded by Sara O’Meara and Yvonne Fedderson in 1959, Childhelp® has brought the light of hope and healing into the lives of more than 10 and a half million children as a leading national nonprofit organization dedicated to helping abused, neglected and at-risk children. Childhelp’s programs and services include residential treatment, children’s advocacy centers, therapeutic foster care, group homes and child abuse prevention, education and training. The Childhelp® National Child Abuse Hotline serves children and adults nationwide 24/7 through phone, text and online chat.

Why Choose Childhelp?

Shortly after moving to CA, Don and I were invited to a charity event where we heard our very first Childhelp presentation and met the founders. Having just started our own family, the sad stories really hit home. We couldn’t believe that all the children didn’t have the same safe harbor as our two children, Brynn and Sam. Both horrified and saddened by what we heard and saw, we decided that evening that Childhelp was a charity that deserved our time and attention.

Since that time we have committed Eufora philanthropic activity 100% to help prevent child abuse and provide children with the loving and supportive environment they deserve.

What do you love about Childhelp?

Childhelp® Founders, Sarah and Yvonne, were also a huge inspiration for my husband and myself. Dedicating their lives to this cause and their unwavering commitment to the children has been, and is today, our primary reason for our continued support of Childhelp®.

One of the priorities for Eufora when choosing a charity to support is the percent of funds raised that go to serving the recipients. We were pleased that Childhelp® has always kept administrative costs low and dollars flowing to serve the children. We also liked the full circle approach to their efforts (advocacy, hotline, villages and education).

What would you say to a child who is struggling?

Today is not forever. There are mostly wonderful, kind and loving people in the world. Seek out and surround yourself with these people and let them help you. You can, and will, have a wonderful life. Believe in yourself and the happiness that you truly deserve.
