Upcycling the Marvelously Discarded
Eufora welcomes 2021 with a new planet-friendly campaign focused on upcycling.
The gifts have been put away, and the wrapping paper, ribbons and bows long gone...or are they? Did you know that most gift wrapping is not eco-friendly, and cannot be recycled, especially if glitter, metallic or foil are involved. In fact, holiday wrapping, improperly disposed of, can contaminate an entire recycling pick-up causing it to be rerouted by yet another dump truck to the landfill. For the 2020 holiday season, Eufora took that problem to task and abandoned traditional gift boxed sets in favor of keepsake birch wood boxes; no wrapping paper required!
Once all the decor was put away, Eufora continued the project with the launch of its first in a series of “upcycling” initiatives, showing off the work of corporate staffers who repurposed their own birch wood boxes. From bird houses, to terrariums and even city chic handbags, the results to date have been amazing. Eufora followers can get in the game (and win prizes too!) by taking a photo of their personal upcycling artistry and posting to instagram with the hashtag #EuforaUpcycles and @euforainternational.
Following right on the heels of the holiday birch wood box, Eufora is unveiling a promotional campaign for 2021 that abandons paper box or shrink-wrapped packaging in favor of bespoke, collectible bags, all of which can be reused long after the products inside are gone. The year long campaign, launching in January, is entitled “The Marvelously Discarded”, and all related promotional components communicate the opportunity to repurpose, or upcycle, instead of discarding and contributing to landfill waste.
As Eufora continues to build upon a long-standing foundation of planet-friendly business practices, the Eufora portfolio of salon friendly digital marketing tools is also getting a boost. Expanding exponentially in 2021 will be the Eufora image library for salon social media as well as robust new additions to templates for email and salon signage.
